The "Check District Progress" feature allows the user to see where the district currently is on Joe's 30 day, 90,000 mile journey. The “At Current Pace” calculation determines whether the district is BEHIND, MEETING, or AHEAD of its goal based on the number of minutes entered and miles traveled as of that instant. The district is meeting its goal if it is within 10% of the “Miles Needed to Date.” It is BEHIND its goal if it is more that 10% below the “Miles Needed to Date” and AHEAD of its goal if it is more than 10% above the “Miles Needed to Date.” To "Check District Progress":
A) Select [PEEK].
B) Select the School you want to PEEK at.
C) Select [Submit].
D) Select the Grade you want to PEEK at.
E) Select [Submit].
F) You can now see exactly where the district is within their current leg.
1) The “red dots” on each leg are 300 miles apart. Red indicates that Joe has already passed that point.
2) The blinking dot represents Joe’s current location.
3) When enough miles have been entered by students to move Joe 300 miles, the blinking dot advances and the dot that was blinking changes to red.
4) The “unlit” dots indicate Joe’s future path, and the darkest dots are 3,000 miles apart.
5) Each leg’s MAIN PAGE has eight photographs. When the user “clicks” on a photograph, he/she is brought to a page detailing the leg Joe is currently traveling on.
6) This page contains nine pictures of places of interest on that particular leg.
7) There is also a map of the leg indicating where each of those nine places of interest are located (by a yellow dot).
8) By “hovering” the mouse over the yellow dots, the name of that particular location is displayed.
9) By “clicking” the yellow dot, a photograph of the location is displayed, along with some “fun facts” about that location.
10) The same photographs and “fun facts” can be reached by simply “clicking” on each of the nine smaller photographs that are on the leg/map page.
11) Select “MAIN MENU” at the bottom of the page to get back to the “MAIN PAGE.”
To "Check District Progress", select [District Goals] in the Main Menu.
