There are five Learning Games, each with six progressively more difficult levels.

To play the Great Lakes Learning Game:
Click on [The Great Lakes] in the "Learn" menu. This will bring you to the “Learn the Great Lakes” page.
Level 1: Users can randomly select Great Lake
names to have the computer display the lake's
location.
Level 2: Users can randomly select Great Lake
locations to have the computer display the lake's name.
Level 3: The computer randomly asks the names of
the Great Lakes and the user must click their locations.
If the user chooses the incorrect lake, the selected lake turns red and its
name is given.
If the user chooses the correct lake, the lake turns green and the next
question is asked.
Level 4: Similar to level 3, except user must complete with only
(5) safeties** and less than (2) errors..
If the user chooses the incorrect lake, the clicked lake turns red and a second chance, or safety, is used.
If the user chooses the incorrect lake again, the lake turns red and (1) is added to the WRONG column.
If the user chooses the correct lake, the lake turns green and (1) is added
to the RIGHT column
Level 5: Similar to level 4, except user must complete the task with only (1) safety and less than (2) errors.
Level 6: Similar to level 5, except user must complete the task with (0) safeties
and (0) errors.

A safety is a second chance that students can use is the question is answered incorrectly. |
